418th Night Fighter Squadron — WWII Blue, Insignia Only
Sometimes the insignia says everything. No text needed. No explanation required. If you know the 418th Night Fighter Squadron, you know what this patch means — and if you don’t, the artwork alone commands attention.
This Blue Without Text edition presents the 418th’s WWII insignia in a clean, uncluttered blue colorway with no accompanying text — letting the artwork stand entirely on its own. It’s the choice for those who prefer their tribute understated, their design minimal, and their history worn without annotation.
Why This Shirt
- Insignia-only design — no text overlay; the 418th artwork speaks for itself in a clean, gallery-worthy presentation

- WWII Army Air Corps heritage — honoring the night combat aviators of the Pacific Theater
- Classic cut — a timeless silhouette that lets the insignia take center stage
- 5 colorways — Black, White, Navy, Military Green, and Tan; the shirt color frames the insignia, nothing else competes
- Durable construction — built to preserve the insignia through years of wear and washing
The 418th Night Fighter Squadron
Activated in 1943 and deployed to the Pacific, the 418th flew the Northrop P-61 Black Widow — the first American aircraft purpose-built for night combat. Operating from New Guinea and the Philippines, the squadron accumulated confirmed aerial kills against Japanese aircraft in conditions that demanded extraordinary skill and composure. Their record stands as one of the finest in WWII night aviation history — and their insignia carries that weight without needing a single word to explain it.
Available in X-Large. Part of the Military Insignia Products WWII heritage collection.
