418th Night Fighter Squadron — WWII Blue Edition

The night sky over the Pacific was their domain. The 418th Night Fighter Squadron of the U.S. Army Air Corps flew where others couldn’t — hunting enemy aircraft in total darkness, guided by radar and the kind of nerve that only the best aviators possessed.

This Blue Edition t-shirt presents the 418th’s WWII insignia in a striking blue colorway — a bold interpretation of one of the war’s most storied night combat units. Whether you’re a WWII aviation collector, a descendant of a squadron veteran, or simply drawn to the history of the P-61 Black Widow era, this shirt carries that legacy with distinction.

Why This Shirt

  • Blue Edition insignia — the 418th Night Fighter Squadron artwork in a bold, distinctive blue colorway that stands apart from the standard issue
  • WWII AAC heritage — honoring the Army Air Corps aviators who mastered night combat in the Pacific Theater
  • Classic cut — a timeless silhouette that wears as well at an air show as it does at a squadron reunion
  • 5 colorways — Black, White, Navy, Military Green, and Tan; pair the shirt color with the insignia for your preferred look
  • Durable construction — built to preserve the insignia through years of wear and washing

The 418th Night Fighter Squadron

Activated in 1943 and deployed to the Pacific, the 418th flew the Northrop P-61 Black Widow — the first American aircraft purpose-built for night combat. Operating from New Guinea and the Philippines, the squadron accumulated confirmed aerial kills against Japanese aircraft under conditions that demanded extraordinary skill, precision, and composure. Their record stands as one of the finest in WWII night aviation history.
